Village Project proudly supports and encourages you to participate in:
LIGHT THE NIGHT
Thursday, September 20, 2018
6:00 pm- 9:00 pm
Bay High Stadium
Bay High School will be hosting the 3rd annual “Light the Night” homecoming bonfire. This is a community event and we invite and encourage you to attend and join in this walk around the school property.
This has become a special night, as the students of Bay High School have partnered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to show support for the 5 students in its school district (some of whom have been Village Project clients) who have fought childhood cancer.
As part of their “One Rocket Nation” slogan, they believe in the power of a community when it comes together, in helping students learn and understand what it means to be part of a larger group, and instilling in its students the pride that comes from being a part of “One Rocket Nation.” The school’s goal is to have 1,000 people attend the walk and to raise $10,000.00 to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society support the families and work toward finding a cure to end childhood cancer and battle these terrible diseases. Your support and attendance at this event is an important part of its success and in helping the students kick off the homecoming festivities in grand style!
Please consider sponsoring luminaria to be placed along the path for the walk and/or consider making a donation to the Bay High School team.
To purchase luminaria, complete the form using the link below and return with payment to Bay High School by 12 noon on 9/20. Or, to make a donation, use the live link below.
Finally, for any cancer survivors or clients who might want to be recognized, please contact Jane Finley via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you in advance for your support and we hope to see you at our Community Open-House on September 16th and on September 20th for the walk and bonfire!
