Village Project provides volunteer opportunities for adults, high school students and children:
• Preparing and packaging client meals
• Supervising and guiding student cooks
• Greeting customers and retail sales in the Village Project Market
• Assisting with client-related intake and delivery services
• Praying support to lift our clients and the entire organization
• Caring for the building maintenance and upkeep of the grounds
• Working at summer market days and information booths
• Helping with fundraising and event planning
• Planting and harvesting flowers, vegetables and herbs in the community garden
• Participating in the Kids Garden Club
• Creating hand-painted flower vases, cards, and crafts for our clients

Frequently Asked Questions
Village Project cooks and packages meals for clients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week. These are two hour shifts ranging from 1:00 to 3:00 or 3:30 to 5:30. Our kitchen volunteers also assist with cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, organizing and stocking our shelves, and building maintence if cooking is not an interest.
The Village Project Market has two hour volunteer shifts available Monday through Thursday. Most of the work in the market is greeting customers along with preparing and completing retail sales.
Our garden volunteers start preparing the plots in April and continue through harvest into late October. The Village Project garden volunteers help with planting, watering, weeding, harvesting and educating the children with the Kids Garden Club.
