Eating Right to Prevent and Manage Cancer

The Healthy Community Initiative is a collaborative effort between Cleveland Clinic and community partners to promote optimal health and wellness.  Based on the community health needs assessment and utilizing combined resources within our local communities, Healthy Community Initiative programs will be customized around three core areas: education, nutrition and physical activity.

Wednesday October 19th, 7 PM | Village Project 27378 West Oviatt Road, Bay Village

Carrying excess body fat increases the risk of 11 cancers.  While no single food or food component can protect you against cancer by itself, strong evidence shows that a diet filled with a variety of plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans helps lower risk for many cancers.

Please join Cleveland Clinic Registered Dietitian, Erin Doran, to learn about many of the foods that can be beneficial in preventing cancer as well as during and after treatment.  Heinen’s Wellness Consultants will provide light refreshments and share information about the foods you can find in their stores.

This is a free event.  Registration is required, please call 440.356.4362, or visit clevelandclinic.org/villageproject
