The Village Food Project in Bay Village is changing its name and mission.

It has for the past two years brought nourishment and care to individuals and their families who have been touched by cancer.

The response to this service has been remarkable, according to organizers. To continue growth and better describe its purpose, the Village Food Project reestablished Feb. 21 and incorporated as the Village Project.

The mission has been expanded to provide nourishing meals and “extended care and service to our neighbors experiencing cancer.”The organization is dedicated to continue serving nourishing meals to those battling cancer and equally devoted to increasing services and support for the patient and the entire family, according to organizers.

Barb Harrell remains executive director and welcomes board members Terry Cariglio, John Engelbrecht, Loren McKeon, Jean Prokes, and Ann Paras.
